The Brick House Tile Company was established in 1984 in Keene, New Hampshire by Alice Toepfer and her son John. Alice, who turned 65 that year, had spent her life raising five boys and now wanted to create her own business. Alice and John experienced first hand the frustration of buying ceramic tile locally during remodeling projects, they knew that if people could see the exquisite tile choices available the tile would sell itself. Located in a brick house built in 1860, Brick House Tile Co. has seven showrooms of ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile displayed in a farm house setting complete with a barn where the manufacturing of Cider Press Tile takes place.
